Install latch. Measure backset (A), 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm). If a 2-3/4" (70mm) is required, extend bolt and adjust latch as shown. Install latch with bolt extended and secure with two small screws. For a drive-in latch, retract the bolt before installing, then extend bolt again before proceeding to next step.
Install exterior assembly. Position the shield onto the exterior cylinder assembly. Once positioned, place the entire exterior assembly on door, aligning the torque blade through the latch.
Install interior turnpiece assembly. Refer to Figure 6. With latch bolt extended, mount assembly flush on door. Insert large screws to engage exterior assembly and tighten to secure.
Install strike plate and optional strike box. Screws require pilot holes.
