I purchased an electronic door lock at Lowes 5 years ago and recently found the power strap had worn through. Apparently a replacement was not available and Kwikset set a complete new unit. I believe this to be very a generous offer. Thank you Kwikset

No key customer from
Really like the Powerbolt 2
I have the Powerbolt 2 Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt for more than a year and really like not having to carry a key around when we go walking, or reaching in my pocket for key just when returning home from running an errand. Received great support after I informed the company that I had an issue with the unit.

Enhancement Suggestion
Very good product; programming instructions very vague. The instruction manual included in the box were generic and not specific to the exact model. They were thrown away along with the original box- noting that there is a handy programing how to on the inside of the battery cover so no need to keep paper around right?
8 months later it was necessary to change the code. The instruction sticker on the inside battery cover is a bit confusing to read in a sort of table format which can be subjective in interpretation. In addition, it seems the instruction sticker was not for my model since it differed by 2 different steps. The steps are critical.
After 4 hours of fiddling about and searching online, I finally determined the model number and found the very comprehensive instructions and YouTube instructional videos on Kwik Set's website which allowed me to successfully update my codes. My suggestions:
1. Ensure the correct instructional manual is included in the box
2. Ensure the correct instructional sticker on the battery box is included
3. Most importantly: engrave or sticker the actual model number of the lock on the
lock itself somewhere. There is a sticker inside the lock stating: "Model: PLP".
This is not the model number of the lock but the model number of the electronic
grid included in the lock. The only way I was able to determine the correct model
number was by comparing the shape of the product with other model numbers
and comparing the written instructions between the models. The models have
different instructions and the programming instructions are indeed critical. The
big difference between the Powerbolt 2 Model 907 and many other models is the
907 has a 'reset' button and not a 'program' button.
Other than that frustration; the product is solid.

Can I turn the keypad beeps on/off?

*Keep the door open and unlocked during programming.

Is there any way I can make it so I have a deadlock from the inside along with the kwikset powerbolt2 electronic one on the outside?

Intermittently the deadbolt will get stuck locked. It can only be opened by key or interior lever. Once you release the key or lever it snaps back to the lock position until batteries are removed/replaced. Why is this happening?

I'm interested in buying the Powerbolt2, but need to also buy a new handleset to pair with it. Do you have a handleset that is just the handle? I don't need the top bolt lock since I am installing the Powerbolt 2 as the top bolt lock.

Powerbolt 2. Working fine for months. Now the latch does not extend. I hear a clicking noise but does not extend. When I turn it manually, it does extend. Any possible causes?
