    Rated 5 out of 5 by from electrical drive (deadbolt) not working/broken Electrical drive (deadbolt) stoped working, going in and out. Called kwikset support and they talked me through all the trouble shooting and decided I had a broken/defective lock and would send me a new one. Phones where busy a lot but if you leave a call back number they do call you back and very friendly to deal with. I’ve had three of these in my old house and now three more in my new house, love them.

I called Tech Support, troubleshot the problem, and they quickly sent a replacement lock. The new lock works great, and my home is now fully automated once again. I'm a believer in the excellent products, and excellent customer service.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought original lock from homedepot, a year later mechanism inside the lock went dead. Called the factory and after some troubleshooting they have determined that a replacement is due. New lock works as a charm.

    My 264 traditional deadbolt has started performing erratically. The unit acts as if batteries are dead but when I remove all batteries and replace with same the lock works fine. This.can occur several times in a day or go for a week without mishap.

The interior for a SmartCode is not designed for exterior use and should be undercover and needs to be protected from the elements.     Hello Jax, To replace lost keys, you can have another Kwikset key randomly cut. Take the cylinder out of the unit and have the lock department at your local home improvement store use the resetting cradle to read the newly cut key to your lock. Sincerely, Kwikset Support Team
