    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get this one. I got this unit to replace a Defiant unit because it wouldn't lock every so often. The 275 is really handsome and works flawlessly. It does take a little longer to unloch as you have to press random numbers to get to the keypad. This is to protect you by having you press all areas of the screen and not only on your combination for visual clues. Customer service is also great, I am now truly sold on Kwikset.

I called the tech support # provided and after determining it was faulty, she sent my out another. The new one looks and works great. Great company.

    I reset PC and deleted all UCs. Now I cannot enter any new UCs : following your instruction lock beeps twice, then go blank, when pressed again it shows all  numbers ( not usual random decoy numbers) and if you enter this new UC, lock beeps x3 and nothing

    Hi. When I touch the 275 screen to activate it only ever shows 3 or 4 characters. When I touch all 3 or 4 it then brings up the full screen so I can enter my PIN and unlock door. Is my unit faulty or am I doing something wrong

    I have a 275 Contemporary Square Touchscreen Touchscreen deadbolt and my family is finding it very hard to read the blue number during bright sunlight. Is there an adjustment or anything to brighten the display?

    Hello RussB1257, ATTENTION: Avoid putting your LCD, or liquid crystal display, lock where beams of direct sunlight will hit it. LCD touchscreens must be protected from strong direct sunlight. The heat from the sun can physically damage LCD screens. Ultraviolet rays in direct sunlight can also cause the chemicals in the LCD to deteriorate, shortening the life of your screen.     Hi, My touch screen won’t work unless the key is inserted. In another comment kwikset said to reinstall the lock without the key inserted; does this mean pull the lock off completely or just hit the reset button below the battery pack

    Just bough few of these and I'm not a big fan of the security feature that makes you have to push few numbers every time before putting the actual code you set. Is there a way to get ride of that feature and just put your personal code directly?

    I just bought a home with this deadbolt installed, but do not have the key. Seems like a nice feature but can not get it programmed. Downloaded the manual and followed the instructions. I get 2 beeps when I changed the PC code and UC code but not working.
