  • Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lock and handle I recently had to contact Kwikset because my digital lock and handle had tarnished. It was similar to this one but had 5 sets of number buttons. I explained the problem and they immediately responded to say that they would send me a set to replace the tarnished ones. We have received and replaced the items. My daughter has also purchased a lock from Kwikset. They are a dependable company.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the lock having my back! We have purchased 5 of these type of keypad locks and this is the best. By far. It is quieter, with a smoother lock action. One of our older model was not functioning properly and while we were on The line with customer service they were great and sent a new battery pack that fixed the problem and now all is safe and secure. I love not having to run back up to the house to check that we locked the door. This lock takes care of that worry and like I said, has my back.

  • How to reset code

    Hello Shelly67, Thank you for taking the time to contact us. If you do not remember the user code to reset, you may restore the default settings for this lock and will delete all user codes. Make sure the door is open and unlocked. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until you hear 3 long beeps. Enter the default programming code 0-0-0-0. Press Kwikset and you will hear one beep. Press 0. Press Kwikset again for the latch will extend and retract to learn the orientation of the door.     When you change the batteries or if they go dead do you have to reprogram it or does it remember the codes you have programmed in?

    The lock stopped locking the deadbolt and beeping 3 times red every time I pressed the Kwikset button. The deadbolt would also stick when I turned it from inside. I opened up the lock and realized the gears were misaligned. i aligned them and still no go

    Using the 264 lock how do I ensure that someone can not leave the house as well as not gain access to the house without a keypad code?

    For Model 926 Deadbolt.  Can’t get Door Handling Process to initialize upon initial installation.  Keypad is working. Lock will reset to default PC/UC.  However, I get 3 red blinks/beeps after entering 0000, K, 0, K.  1-touch lock also not working.

    Installed model 264 without any issues. Was able to setup Programming code. Also able to install a user code. However I cannot install additional user codes. Following the instructions gives me three beeps. What am I doing wrong?
