The introduction of three new Control4 SKU’s demonstrates Kwikset’s commitment to the popular Control4 platform, a platform that interoperates with over 12,000 third-party consumer electronics products.  Joining Kwikset’s stable of Z-Wave- and ZigBee-based locks, this wave of Control4 SKU’s was created for homeowners seeking the peace of mind of a Home Connect solution and already using or considering a Control4 Smart Home.

Signature Series Deadbolt Utilizing the popular Kwikset single-cylinder deadbolt as its foundation, this keypad-less lock offers a new, discreet way to connect to the home.  In fact, the Control4-ready Kwikset Signature Series Deadbolt is ideal for consumers who prefer the aesthetics of a traditional deadbolt but desire the discreet security of a smart lock.

 

The new Control4 version enables true remote locking and unlocking from anywhere in the world, using the Control4 OS or Control4 App on a smartphone, tablet or internet connected device.  Users can receive notifications of the lock’s activity, as well as creating customized scenes within the home.  A unique feature of the Control4-ready is the two installation possibilities available to homeowners: replacing the entire deadbolt, or replacing just the interior of the current door lock to convert it into a smart lock.  In the latter mode, it is compatible with select, single-cylinder deadbolts including Kwikset, Weiser, Schlage, and Baldwin.
