How does the proximity sensor work on Aura Reach?

Aura Reach features a proximity sensor, located underneath the 0 on the number keypad. The proximity sensor is designed to detect your hand approaching the keypad, and light up the screen immediately before entering your code. This motion-activated backlight is particularly useful in low-light scenarios to make code entry easier.

You can turn the proximity sensor functionality On/Off in the Kwikset app from the Lock Settings menu. If you disable the proximity sensor, the backlight will only turn on when a button is pressed on the keypad, or it will remain off entirely, depending on which setting you choose.
