How do I install/replace my Powerbolt batteries?
1. Remove the three screws to the left right and bottom of the lock using either a Phillips head screwdriver or a 3/32 Allen Wrench if the installer had used the tamper-proof screws.2. If there are no screws present, please just remove top portion by grabbing the cover from the sides and lifting up before pulling the cover off.
How to remove/install batteries-
1. Remove the three screws to the left right and bottom of the lock using either a Phillips head screwdriver or a 3/32 Allen Wrench if the installer had used the tamper-proof screws. If there are no screws present, proceed to step 2.
2. Remove the full battery cover (this may include the finished thumb turn portion) to gain access to the battery holder.
3. Remove the battery holder from the lock. This piece will have the word “Door” written on it with an arrow on either side pointing at the door.
4. Replace the batteries with 4 good quality Alkaline AA batteries.
5. Replace battery pack in the lock.
