Using rechargeable batteries will not harm your smart lock, but it is not recommended for the following reasons.
The lock software and app are optimized for alkaline batteries, which have a distinct discharge curve. This ensures accurate battery percentage readings and timely low-battery notifications.
Rechargeable batteries, on the other hand, have a flatter discharge curve, meaning the displayed battery percentage may not be accurate. As a result, you might not receive correct low-battery warnings when the batteries are nearly depleted. For the best experience, we recommend using alkaline batteries.
