  • Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, excellent features and EASY install I have built an extensive home automation network for a family member including lights, door sensors, motion detectors and many other pieces. This was the last piece they wanted. I bought about 6 weeks ago and so glad I decided we went with the 914. It connected to our network in seconds and was very easy to configure. It installed in minutes and programming was again VERY easy. Master code set and a couple of extra codes for family members. Finally I spent about 10 mins setting up custom options in the network. I have since bought two more of these ( for our homes ) as well as the add on module to convert deadbolks. Have been a kwikset customer for 25 years and these new pieces did not disappoint.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product even great company warranty I purchased my lock from Amazon and couldn’t get it programmed into my home security system. I called kwikset and they worked with me to ensure that I wasn’t missing something in the setup sets. After a few tests the tech decided I needed a new lock. I sent in my pictures of my lock and within a week I received a new lock that was setup with my security system within minutes. I haven’t had a problem since. This lock is perfect for me because I can add and delete codes as I need to and I can even remotely control my lock with my security system. Kwikset stands behind their products with no long drawn out processes.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many features and so easy to install I am not particularly handy; but I had no trouble installing this lock. Between videos on-line and solid customer support, it was the super easy to install. (Don't get intimidated reading the instructions - youtube breaks it all down!) It has great features, like auto-lock, one button touch to lock, multiple lock codes, and easy re-key. I haven't tried to re-key my lock yet, but I plan on doing that eventually to match the doorknob key.

What really impressed me was the customer service, the hold time was a little long but the technicians I spoke with (2 calls) knew the product and exactly how to resolve my issues with ease. I recommend this lock and will buy again for future installs.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Product I have 4 of these Z Wave locks connected to a Smartthings Hub and use the Alexa skill. I could not be more pleased with them. Its been a year and I would hate to go back to not having them installed. At night, when I am in bed I do not have to wonder if the downstairs back door is locked, if the side door in the garage is locked etc. I just say, "Alexa, are the doors locked". I no longer have to give people like Pest Control and Carpet Cleaners access to my house with a key or access code. Now they just text me when they are there and I can unlock the door for them. Kwikset has the best customer service department I have ever dealt with. I don't write many reviews...but this company deserves a great review.

I called their support number and they shipped me a new core, which was easier to change out than I anticipated. The lock works great and integrated seamlessly with my smart home setup.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect lock for my home. Long story short, I ordered the previous model from Best Buy and an ordering fiasco allowed me to upgrade to this lock. It was essentially the same as the previous model but a few more numbers and features. I chose this lock because I have a Samsung Smart Things hub. I wanted a lock that not only worked with that, but also allowed me to use a normal key in case of battery or tech failure. Didn't want to have a chance of getting locked out of my own house. So far this lock does everything I wanted it to and more. I love the added security of knowing the door will lock itself if I forget to do so and the ease of access so i don't have to fumble for my keys. And because this is a Kwikset lock, it comes with the Smartkey rekey feature, so I was able to rekey this lock to match my old one without calling a locksmith or going to the store for more keys. The perfect lock for my home.

  • Is there any way to delete and add codes without having to take the back of the lock off? Those screws are so tiny and they get lost. Thanks!

    1. I don't have a Samsung phone. Will this still work? 2. I want a log of who has been in and out of my house. Will this do that? 3. You mentioned "third party" something. Is there a monthly fee for this?

    Do I have to have Xfinity for this lock to work? I have a different internet provider and would prefer to not have to switch.

    I have the smart code 914 and was told that you could use the XFINITY app to lock and unlock the door remotely.  But, I don’t see the option to allow it.  Is it capable and if so, how?

    Hi, I am having issues with battery life. My keypad stopped working today only after 3 months. I love the keypad but thought batteries would last longer . Are lithium batteries better than alkaline? Any suggestions please?

    I bought the 914TRL ZB-AMZ 11P because it was listed on Amazon as being compatible with Echo Plus. However, I cannot get Alexa to discover this device. What are the steps so that Alexa can lock the door and report whether it is locked?

    Can't keep connection between Echo Plus and the 914.  The Alexa iPhone app reads "Device is unresponsive. There is a problem with Front Door."  Have de-re'd many times. Lock manually, Alexa confirms, but app says "Unlocked" Do I need SmartThings?
