    my door is locked with kwikset smartcode 909 deadbolt, and it's got no battery power. what do I do to unlock it?

    Hello joh, If your SmartCode is unresponsive, the mounting plate is placing tension on the torque blade. Remove the interior assembly from the mounting plate, loosen the screws on the mounting plate and reposition the plate, so there is no tension on the cylinder torque blade. Next, align the turn piece with the torque blade and reinstall the interior assembly on the door. Lastly, perform the door handing steps to correct the orientation of the bolt.     I have a 909 that was installed on a left swing door. I’ve moved and now the swing is the opposite. The deadbolt doesn’t work on this door.  How do you change the mechanism to work?

    The information I found on this lock says it auto locks after 20 or 30 seconds but I don't see that anywhere in the installation or program guide
