    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for vacation homes After a few months of renting a home and having to arrange to have keys picked up and dropped off, I read about this and purchased it. Now I just ask the renter what code he / she wants to use, program it in from my iPhone for the rental period they'll be there and - done. Easier for everyone. Piece of cake to install (if you've ever installed a simple deadbolt, this isn't much different). Works beautifully with our FrontPoint monitoring system. Only complaint is that the programming instructions were a little unclear, but overall, I would highly recommend this.

Being able to operate the lock remotely with my smart phone as set up through ADT was a wonderful feature to allow my daughter into the house while were gone. The flashing light has also been a good reminder to let me know that the lock was opened. During these two months we have not had to use our key at all. The keypad does it all even in below zero weather. Great Product. No Issues.

I also like the fact that you can program multiple codes for the kids to use, etc. And let's not forget how fun it is to show your friends how you can lock and unlock your door remotely.

Very convenient not having to search for your key in the dark, and also to give friends or contractors access with the flexibility of being able to conveniently change access codes, if necessary.Only drawbacks are having to replace batteries periodically (maybe once a year? Not that bad, although I hate creating more waste), and sometimes the strike plate and bolt don't line up correctly due to swelling and contraction of the foundation of our house, which causes the deadbolt to give an error. This has more to do with my own personal circumstances...Otherwise a great product. Highly recommend.

  • My back door has a half-length window with a molding holding the window in that sticks out about 3/8". This lock looks like it will just barely fit on the outside but be too big on the inside. Any kind of spacer that would raise the inside 3/8"?

    I moved and brought lock to new house and I can't get it to work on the new door it still wants to lock in the direction of the old door set up is there a way to reset it ?

    Hi Josh,The 909 SmartCode is reversible and can be installed on both left and right hand doors. (1) Hold LOCK button on keypad while (2) inserting the battery pack into the interior. The lock will automatically sense the handing of the door and will extend & retract deadbolt latch. Two beeps will sound in approximately 30 seconds to confirm successful installation.     I have had my unit installed for about 2-yrs in Las Vegas area. My keypad remains constantly red and batteries are brand new. I reset and the red goes away for a little while (minutes not days)... it this a sign that unit is dying or other?
