This warranty does not cover scratches, abrasions, deterioration due to the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals, abuse, misuse, or product used in commercial applications. The Kwikset Kevo fob product includes a 1 year electronic warranty. Upon return of a defective product to Kwikset Corporation, Kwikset may repair or replace the product with a new or refurbished product at Kwikset’s sole discretion. Any product that has been repaired or replaced under this limited warranty will have a warranty coverage for the longer of ninety (90) days or the remain- ing original warranty period. Kwikset is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more keys With my car being push to start I was looking for a way to ditch my house keys. Kevin was the perfect solution. I now only have to have my phone in my pocket, no more keys to scratch my smart phone.The downside is my Kevo is way too sensitive. When I walk out the door and my body lightly brushes the Kevo, it locks. Not a huge problem because my phone is in my pocket. I would recommend a touch twice feature.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool and convenient I preordered my lock and have had it installed since they were introduced. I love not having to get my keys out as well as allowing the kids to get in with the key fob. The only negative is when it may take 2 or 3 taps to lock or unlock. This is a software problem with the phone as restarting the app (that I never turn off) fixes the problem. The last app update improved the speed greatly.In regards to installation and serviceability: it installs just like any other deadbolt, very easy. And sure enough when the batteries die you not only get a notification on your phone but the light ring warns you every time you use it for a couple of days prior so you really can't get caught with dead batteries and no keys...

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Personal Assistant I have two kids and my hands are always being used to carry stuff. I have backpacks, groceries, lunch bags, shopping bags, and pesonal items. With our bluetooth deadbolt any of my kids or myself can touch the unit and our lock/unlock the door. I have to be at the door with my phone or key fob.The bluetooth lock gets my family involved in securing the house. They like it and are aware if we locked the doors when we leave. We all take turns in opening and locking the door.When we have guest with us entering/exiting our house they really focus on this lock like a new luxury car. Wow that is very cool!

Example - if phone is inside a purse or bag. It will take longer to operate the lock!Security: 10Single strength: 5Ease of use: 9Battery usage: 9Style: 9Ease of installation: 7 (with no previous experience),9 (with previous lock experience)A great improvement would allow the Bluetooth to connect to a wifi hub!!!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lock of the future! I purchased my Kevo about 2 years ago when moving into my new home and can't think of how we lived without it. The greatest feature is allowing me to send guest keys or scheduled keys. The addition of remote lock/unlock when in bluetooth range is great but really wish I could do it remotely WITHOUT having to buy an additional device.You should also really consider creating an IFTTT channel so that you can integrate with more services as well, I'm satisfied with the Nest integration for now, which actually lets me just trigger stuff for when I put my Nest on away (which is done from the Kevo app).

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from version 1.0 i generally don't buy v1 products, i prefer to wait for v2 or v3, after the bugs have been worked out. i made an exception here and got what i expected, an ok, but buggy, product. sometimes it works great, sometimes it's very slow, sometimes it just doesn't work, sometimes it needs to be re calibrated and sometimes that process is frustrating ... it's gotten better as the software has been updated, and it's great when it works

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product that Kids can Use! We purchased it a year ago because our son had problems with Keys and remembering codes. We keep the fob in his backpack so after he gets off the bus he can get in the house. He is mentally delayed so he has problems with remembering codes and we love that he can get in the house even when we forget to open the door just before his bus comes. He loves it because it help him become more independent. It put a big smile on his face just to open the door. AND with the new Android app it great for us also, no more fumbling for the keys. It even works better than the Apple app that made you open the app to the front page before it would work, on the Android you just have to have it running in the foreground. LOVE THE LOCK! Keep up the great work. Only thing I would add is if you could lock the door from any where. Attaching it to your router or something like that. Thanks Again for Helping us make our son more independent!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to your home security! Have had the lock since it was released, and overall have been very pleased. The finish and build is excellent. At times we do have issues with it not responding to touch and have to restart the app on our phone. This has improved with updates. Have and will continue to recommend this lock to friends and family. Would love to have it linked to wireless network or my alarm panel to allow for me to open the door from my office.

  • Took the battery out and now my fobs and phone won't work. How can I resync?

    Does the system is very good for cold temperatures like -25 C

    I Took the battery out and got locked out now my key will not work. Yes I know not the smartest move but how do I get in. I have the thing to reset the key but if I can't get a key in it how do I resear it

    Hello Djsbwvshzn,We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with the Kevo lock.First, have the battery pack out.Then, follow the troubleshooting steps below to reset your cylinder.1st: Insert the last key that you tried to program to the unit.2nd: Pull the key out a notch at a time and try to turn it at the same time to the quarter turn position to the right.3rd: If the key turns to the quarter turn position, insert your smart key tool and then remove your key.4th: Remove the key and Insert the key that came with the box and turn it back to vertical at 12 o'clock.5th: Then re-do the re-keying steps that came with the box.The following link will provide more information about the SmartKey technology as well as a video of how rekeying works: contact Kwikset Consumer Support at 1-800-327-5625 if you require assistance with the process.Thank you,Kwikset Support

    What is the recommended handle to go with a Kevo? A locking handle seems to defeat the purpose of having an electronic lock.

    Does Kevo work with mortise combination locks that have a deadbolt and sash lock, where a key on the outside would withdraw both the deadbolt and sash lock?
