This warranty does not cover scratches, abrasions, deterioration due to the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals, abuse, misuse, or product used in commercial applications. The Kwikset Kevo fob product includes a 1 year electronic warranty. Upon return of a defective product to Kwikset Corporation, Kwikset may repair or replace the product with a new or refurbished product at Kwikset’s sole discretion. Any product that has been repaired or replaced under this limited warranty will have a warranty coverage for the longer of ninety (90) days or the remain- ing original warranty period. Kwikset is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.   • Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more keys With my car being push to start I was looking for a way to ditch my house keys. Kevin was the perfect solution. I now only have to have my phone in my pocket, no more keys to scratch my smart phone. The downside is my Kevo is way too sensitive. When I walk out the door and my body lightly brushes the Kevo, it locks. Not a huge problem because my phone is in my pocket. I would recommend a touch twice feature.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked well when I first installed it, But then... After a few days of positive use, I felt comfortable leaving my keys at home when I went on my walk. The lock worked well for the first few weeks. Unfortunately, that's as long as it lasted. Now I consider myself LUCKY when the lock actually opens. More times than not, I'm left crawling through the bedroom window on the side of my house (after climbing my gate) to get inside my house! The lock has been getting stuck in the lock position and will not open until I manually turn the lock! This is absolutely not what I expected and now I have to leave the front door unlocked when I leave the house! I should have never bought this lock! Be warned!

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cool Lock I have been using this lock for about two years now. It works great looks cool and has some cool features. I like that I get a email when my children come home. Those are the pros. Cons lock is kind of slow. If you want to unlock using your phone it takes way to long. Says out of range then go through again and it will connect. Sometimes it locks and unlocks for no apparent reason. Have to turn off bluetooth on phone. Sometimes it will not delete user that you requested. Batteries do not last long. I have not tried the new wifi add on as it's kind of pricy. It's supposed to be connected to my nest products but haven't been able to get that to work.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kevo Lock I use this lock everyday for the past 10 months. I have had only two issues with the lock since I have owned it. #1 was trying to tie in the kevo hub so I could use my cell phone from anywhere to unlock the door. Turned out I needed to do a software update on my Kevo to get it to work. #2 lock has stopped working twice, I figured out the battery pack wasn't making contact so I bent up the contacts and issue was fixed. Other than those two issues the lock works great. I have mine setup so I can tap it and walk away and it locks. I think if I get smart things I can set it up so if the door is unlocked for 45 minutes it auto locks. That would be great.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lock and easy to use! Hello, I have had this lock for a year now and absolutely love it. I first went with another one that has the same name as a late summer month. It was difficult for me to know if the door was actually locked as there was no feedback outside other then the app. There were several occasions I came home and wondered if the door was ever locked. With Kevo the lights give you automatic feedback and you can now use the app if you purchase the gateway. I have had the gateway for a month now and love being able to lock and unlock the door away from the house. Installations was a breeze and maintenance has been minimal other then wiping down and 1 change of batteries!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Personal Assistant I have two kids and my hands are always being used to carry stuff. I have backpacks, groceries, lunch bags, shopping bags, and pesonal items. With our bluetooth deadbolt any of my kids or myself can touch the unit and our lock/unlock the door. I have to be at the door with my phone or key fob. The bluetooth lock gets my family involved in securing the house. They like it and are aware if we locked the doors when we leave. We all take turns in opening and locking the door. When we have guest with us entering/exiting our house they really focus on this lock like a new luxury car. Wow that is very cool!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, easy to install and set up! I bought this bluetooth deadbolt a year ago. I had it installed in 10 minutes and set up in another 10 minutes. Over a year I had to install two updates which were simple and the app walked me through the process. The lock itself is convenient. The only time it's been a hassle is when my phone is in my back pocket and the signal doesn't reach the lock. Not bad since I only have to swing myself around so the phone faces the lock so I can't complain. Generating "e-keys" in the app for other people is a great feature while away and needing to give someone access to your home (although the only pitfall is having to leave the handle unlocked...I wish they would make a door handle to match!)

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best keyless lock I ever use. I have been using it for over 1yr+. Prior to purchase Kevo, I did a lot of research how other keyless works. Many others were inconsistent, some uses GPS where touch isn't required at all, the problem I found others was I am living in an apartment building where GPS could be showing me I am at another building or worst another location. The other reason I choose Kevo was externally it looks like a normal key lock but can open by touch sensor. In year 2014 when I first got it, only my Samsung Note 4 were able to open the door, now I can use my Huawei Watch (Android Wear) to open it too. Thanks to Kwikset Kevo and thanks to David Krauser for actively improving. From Singapore.

    I see that Kwikset is a partner with SkyBell will this work though the SkyBell app or do you have plans to make it work?

    Hello, I have a kevo Touch to Open Smart Lock 1st Gen. I have tried to rekey the lock so that the key matches our other external doors. The rekeying process didn't correctly and now neither the key works. The locks still works using touch. What can I do

Below you will find some trouble shooting steps to reset your cylinder. 1st: Insert the last key that you tried to program to the unit. 2nd: Pull the key out a notch at a time and try to turn it at the same time to the quarter turn position to the right. 3rd: If the key turns to the quarter turn position, insert your smart key tool and then remove your key. 4th: Remove the key and Insert the key that came with the box and turn it back to vertical at 12 o'clock. 5th: Then re-do the re-keying steps that came with the box.     have 2 grandkids , when they come home from school they do the combination on the kwikset , works great.  can i switch to another model that will let me know when they arrive , question being , how will they be able to access the opening of lock .

    Can this lock be installed on an outside gate?

The interior for a Kevo is not designed for exterior use and should be under cover and needs to be protected from the elements.     Hello. Installing the Bluetooth dead bolt. Something has happened to the latch and it won't close. I have just the latch in front of me and can't engage the bolt with a screwdriver. Any ideas
