    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy To Use Added this deadbolt to my ADT Pulse home security system. It was especially easy to replace an existing Kwikset deadbolt already in my door. And it rekeyed to my existing keys and other locks easily and quickly. Then pairing it to the Pulse system was again very easy. The only drawback to the Pulse system is that the deadbolt can't be programmed with as many codes as other systems allow. But stii, it's been an outstanding product. I did have a minor issue and the customer service from Kwikset was as good as Amazon or Nordstrom.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from works perfectly! bought this for my new condo. perfect function for dog walking, guests, and just because. I love not having to carry around keys. it's very convenient to have family and friends come in while i'm at work or running late. I change the code to accomodate guests so they don't have to remember my code and can just use the last 4 of their cell numbers. I have at least 2 codes available at all times.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eats batteries I have six of these. They generally work OK but a couple of them eat batteries like they are candy for a kid. They will seem to powerfully throw the bolt and then will beep and flash and refuse to work until they get fresh batteries. The "rejected" batteries test good and will work fine for weeks in other identical locks. As a hail mary, I just bought a new one to replace the worst offender and see if I can get decent battery life out of it, I have a few that seem to slowly and laboriously throw the bolt and they seem to run forever on a set of batteries.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this lock and connected to my Icontrol system My wife and even little kids love this lock. We no longer take our keys. Furthermore, it is connected to my interactive home security system (powered by Icontrol Networks) so I can automatically disarm my system when I unlock the door via a rule I set up in my Icontrol system. Even my 4 and 6 year old kids know our code now to unlock the door. They do it before my wife and I get to the door with our arms typically full of bags.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very convenient vs. a standard deadbolt. We installed the SmartCode deadbolt about a year ago. It is very convenient. I can go out without a key, lock up, then later reenter the house with no key, only the code. I do this all the time when walking our dog. I can come back to the house without fishing for keys by simply entering the code. I also like being able to push the key with the lock icon and have the keyboard light up at night.We can also arrange for our dog to be walked by a neighbor without having to hand over a key. We simply give them a code number to use. There is no lost key problem to worry about.The only negative we have found is that the lock seems to loosen up once in a while. To fix this, the lock needs to be disassembled and the base mechanism needs to be tightened up. This is very simple and only takes a few minutes to accomplish.By the way, in a year we have not had to change batteries..

It has worked reliably for a year now. I also like the feature on the inside of the house where the lock flashes green if the door is unlocked and red if the door is locked.

The only downfall is it seems to go throw batteries quickly. The first time we had to change the batteries was only a few weeks after it was installed. Other than that, it has been quite responsive.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from life saver We have owned this for a year. When I locked my husband out while he was jogging, I knew we had to do something for a guy who doesn't like to carry a key. We have love this lock. When we can't get home in time, we just call a friend to let the dog out. Works perfectly.

  • For the past month my alarm has a long beep after pushing the lock button and it takes longer for our door to lock and unlock than it had been. Today when I got home none of the buttons work at all. I changed batteries but still nothing.

    The battery pack snapped on the side when I was removing a battery.  I have glued it back together, but the lock seems to chew through batteries like crazy.  Replacing every week almost.  Where can I find a new battery pack?

    hi 1. what is a Z-Wave Configuration? 2.do I have to pay extra to use the website to check is the door is locked? 3.on the door instalation is it different for deadbolt with Z-Wave Configuration?

    Hello Rosa,Z-wave is a motor-driven deadbolt latch allows for true remote locking and unlocking. For cost you will have to contact you hub/controller dealer. The installation is the same as a standard door preparation, bore hole 2-1/8", thickness of door 1-3/8" - 1-3/4" and backset 2-3/8"-2-3/4".Thank you,Kwikset Support

    I have a 910 Zwave. How do I program more than 2 codes? It says in the instructions on this website to just push the program button three times to program the third code. But it only seems to work with code #1 and #2?

    I programmed a user code.  example - entered the master code, clicked lock, clicked 1, clicked lock, entered new code, clicked the lock. 2 beeps and green keypad. I then lock the deadbolt and the code won't unlock the door?
