    I recently purchased the smartcode 915. I am wanting to purchase another one for my garage door or something similar. Is it possible to have the same key for all locks? I really don't want to have so many keys for my house.

    Hello necy21, This model comes with SmartKey rekey technology. If the original lock has SmartKey technology, you will be able to rekey your locks to one key but is not compatible with other brands. Sincerely, Kwikset Support Team

    I keep having issues with my Smart Code 915. I have replaced batteries 3 times in past 6 months. It either want lock when we leave or want open when we return. I have removed battery pack and re-installed approx. 4 to 6 times to reset hoping to clear it.

    What is the benefit/point of having multiple (16) codes if all the codes give full access (meaning anytime and/or non-expiring) and without the ability track usage?  In other words, why not just give one code for all users?

    Hello QSR, Thank you for your interest in Kwikset model # 915TRL-11P-UL. We apologize for the inconvenience. This model is a stand-alone electronic deadbolt that is not compatible with a home connect network. The user codes provide access up to 16 users. Currently, there is no feature to allow for monitoring usage or access time/dates. The Premis lock does provide the feature for setting up user codes for limited access.     I plan on using this on rental property. Are you able to reset the code and is there a limit as to how often you can do that and can I do that remotely? Also, does this unit need wifi to operate?

    Hello ValP, This model is not Home Connect compatible. You will need to purchase the SmartCode 916. In order for a Z-Wave or ZigBee device to work remotely, you need to be paired with a Z-Wave or ZigBee controller. The controller is the main gateway to control all your Z-Wave or ZigBee devices. You need to research different controllers in the market and find which one best suits your needs.
