No more digging through my purse to find my keys. Recently I went to change the batteries and it started smoking.... yes, smoking! I called customer service not knowing if they could do anything since I didn't have any warranty information. All I had to do was send a picture to prove I have the product and they sent me a new one for FREE. Great customer service seems to be few and far in between lately but not with Kwikset!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from we just installed the kwikset 909 lock so far it is great, love the idea of no keys, easy in and out, ligeted dial pus button lock, I did notice that the lock is very loud , I did notice this on the display at home depot but thoght maybe the batteries were weak or something so maybe that was why it was so loud , there was another lock that cost less and was very quiet but did not have the same features, this lock is great but is loud !

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is such a great way to lock/unlock doors I actually like the keypad feature better on this SMARTCODE 909 than the (more expensive) finger-swipe bio fingerprint lock that it replaced. Not having to carry keys is a convenience I enjoy with a lock. I installed the lock in July 2016 and as of this writing Feb 2017, I replaced the batteries only once, and this lock works overtime with our family in and out all day. And the keypad is as reliable as day one- never a problem.

I was impressed with installation and how easy it was. Also, the first time I bought the lock,I needed a little help with programming. Kwikset has a crew of helpful people to guide you through any issue over the phone. I'll always have a Keikset lock on my house, wherever we end up.

  • Code will lock the door but will not work to unlock

    The automatic lock locks after 30 seconds, but it does it 4 to 5 more times after it is already locked,  Why does it keep trying to lock that many times?

    My lock will not work in electronic mode. It gives 10 beeps and flashes red. Even manually the lock is hard to turn. Is there a warrenty on these locks?

    This deadbolt can be install in both directions? It looks like is only to one side (right side if you see the door from outside)

    Is there a one-time use PIN feature?
