from EASY TO USE AND INSTALL FOR THE DYI I have been using it for almost a year and I like it very much. I have the Wink hub and it works seamlessly with that as well. I also like the fact that you can program multiple codes for the kids to use, etc. And let's not forget how fun it is to show your friends how you can lock and unlock your door remotely.

from Convenient, reliable and secure! I love this lock. It was so easy to install, and allows me to lock and unlock my door (and other three Kwikset locks) from my phone through my querky wink hub. You can also key in a combination to get in which is go great for our kids. Not only that, since it works with wink, I have it in a robot setting that auto locks this door at night when I go to bed, and auto locks whenever I've left the lock open for more than 30 minutes. You can program it however you want. It's beautiful and works flawlessly all the time. Can't say enough good about it. I own this, and three other Kwikset zwave locks, and love them all.

from like it overall had this for about a year, goes through batteries fast, doesn't matter if they are alkaline of lithium. tech support has said both, but the latest is only use alkaline. wish it has a auto lock feature you could access without taking off the cover for when company comes. I like it without keys but you still have to hide a key in case your batteries are dead.

from Great features, average quality. I used this product for just over a year, after which the electronic pad stopped working out of nowhere. The features were great i.e. remote unlock, temporary passcodes for friends, notification emails on door unlock etc.Cons: The battery usage is quite high but that may have been due to high traffic as well. However, the electronic pad died just after the warranty period. I don't believe you can buy a replacement number pad alone. The cover on the inside of the door is made of plastic. The lock knob feels a bit flimsy too and doesn't inspire confidence in build quality.

from Quick Installation & great features!! I had this lock to replace my backdoor deadbolt and it did exactly what I was expecting. The installation was very well documented and easy to complete in just a few minutes. I had ADT Pulse and the definition within the system was very straight forward without no problem - at the time, Kwikset was the only lock supported by ADT, which gave me confidence to consider it a reliable option. The only point to consider is that the batteries (4xAA) don't last more than 6-8 weeks. I had disabled some light notificaton options to avoid extensive battery consumption, but still short battery life. The good thing is that ADT Pulse let me know when it starts having problems to sync with the lock... then it is time to change batteries. For the rest ,this s a great option for a keyless electronic lock.

from Love the electronic codes and wi-fi technology We have enjoyed our Kwikset lock with wireless technology and bought two other Kwikset locks for other outside doors that look the same but do not have the wireless technology. We had to replace the lock after 10 months due to a programming issue, but customer service was quick to diagnose the problem and send a new lock under warranty.With future upgrades, I would love to be able to maintain the list of codes by wi-fi instead of having to add them physically at the door.

from After 2 years: Better than alternatives I've owned two of theses for about two years. They were the first of several zwave devices for a home control system. Battery life is ok, but the locks/doors aren't used too often because we usually use the gagrage to enter the house. The reason I couldn't give them a higher rating is because the bolt action is not smooth and sometimes sticks half way making it difficult to use manually. This may be a sign of a short life due to internal parts not meshing as designed.

from nice lock I bought this lock for two reasons. First I wanted a lock that I could change the entry code remotely and the Smart Key feature means that I do not have to have yet another key to tote around. The only reason that I do not rate this lock excellent is there is no way to keep someone from inside from changing the unlock code if they really wanted to. Other wise the lock works perfectly.

What is the difference between Zigbee and ZWave?

Some home automation systems use Zigbee, others use Zwave, so we manufacture both to accommodate our customers. From the inside, when turning the knob to either open or lock, it gets STUCK in the middle of the throw unless extreme pressure is used to get past the mid or stuck area. It will not operate from the outside because of this issue.

Remove the interior lock from the door, grab the turn piece and rotate it 3 times clockwise past the stop. The unit will click while doing this. My Smartcode910 does not indicate the correct position to my wink controller. I have manually synced the lock to the status but as soon as I manually lock the door it never updates in the wink app. How can I get the lock to indicate correct position?

Why do the keypad buttons stop responding after using the actual key to unlock/lock the deadbolt? I use one in my office and not all my subs are smart enough to press the code so they have a key. They use it, and I return and the buttons do not respond.
