    Rated 5 out of 5 by from EASY TO USE AND INSTALL FOR THE DYI I have been using it for almost a year and I like it very much. I have the Wink hub and it works seamlessly with that as well. I also like the fact that you can program multiple codes for the kids to use, etc. And let's not forget how fun it is to show your friends how you can lock and unlock your door remotely.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from like it overall had this for about a year, goes through batteries fast, doesn't matter if they are alkaline of lithium. tech support has said both, but the latest is only use alkaline. wish it has a auto lock feature you could access without taking off the cover for when company comes. I like it without keys but you still have to hide a key in case your batteries are dead.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Installation & great features!! I had this lock to replace my backdoor deadbolt and it did exactly what I was expecting. The installation was very well documented and easy to complete in just a few minutes. I had ADT Pulse and the definition within the system was very straight forward without no problem - at the time, Kwikset was the only lock supported by ADT, which gave me confidence to consider it a reliable option. The only point to consider is that the batteries (4xAA) don't last more than 6-8 weeks. I had disabled some light notificaton options to avoid extensive battery consumption, but still short battery life. The good thing is that ADT Pulse let me know when it starts having problems to sync with the lock... then it is time to change batteries. For the rest ,this s a great option for a keyless electronic lock.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from After 2 years: Better than alternatives I've owned two of theses for about two years. They were the first of several zwave devices for a home control system. Battery life is ok, but the locks/doors aren't used too often because we usually use the gagrage to enter the house. The reason I couldn't give them a higher rating is because the bolt action is not smooth and sometimes sticks half way making it difficult to use manually. This may be a sign of a short life due to internal parts not meshing as designed.

First I wanted a lock that I could change the entry code remotely and the Smart Key feature means that I do not have to have yet another key to tote around. The only reason that I do not rate this lock excellent is there is no way to keep someone from inside from changing the unlock code if they really wanted to. Other wise the lock works perfectly.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ties in well with Frontpoint We bought this about 3 years ago and have loved the convenience of locking/unlocking from our phone and alarm system. The batteries last quite a while (we normally lock and unlock via the deadbolt throw) and it doesn't look bad at all inside or out. It doesn't get any weather on it as it is from the garage into the mudroom. All in all, a great little lock.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent replacement Front Door lock!!! First, I don't need to use my key to lock it from the outside. Second, if forgot to lock it, it automatically locked by itself as long as the door is close. Third, if I forgot my key, I can always enter the correct code (as long as you don't forget) to unlock it. Lastly, for the last 4+ months I'm very satisfied, hope it will last for a while. Thanks.

We bought the deadbolt so our 7 year old could come in and out of the house without having to leave the front door unlocked (and keep the neighborhood kids from coming in unannounced!) It also allows us to give temporary codes for pet sitting when we're gone. We like that we can get into the house even if we don't have keys.

  • I installed a keypad pad and I can't get the back light to work on the pads. Any advice?

    For the past month my alarm has a long beep after pushing the lock button and it takes longer for our door to lock and unlock than it had been. Today when I got home none of the buttons work at all. I changed batteries but still nothing.

    The battery pack snapped on the side when I was removing a battery.  I have glued it back together, but the lock seems to chew through batteries like crazy.  Replacing every week almost.  Where can I find a new battery pack?

    hi 1. what is a Z-Wave Configuration? 2.do I have to pay extra to use the website to check is the door is locked? 3.on the door instalation is it different for deadbolt with Z-Wave Configuration?

    Hello Rosa,Z-wave is a motor-driven deadbolt latch allows for true remote locking and unlocking. For cost you will have to contact you hub/controller dealer. The installation is the same as a standard door preparation, bore hole 2-1/8", thickness of door 1-3/8" - 1-3/4" and backset 2-3/8"-2-3/4".Thank you,Kwikset Support

    I have a 910 Zwave. How do I program more than 2 codes? It says in the instructions on this website to just push the program button three times to program the third code. But it only seems to work with code #1 and #2?

    How do I replace batteries?  After replacing batteries nothing works. Any ideas?
