LAKE FOREST, Calif. (June 17, 2015) – Kwikset, the leader in residential security, today announced that it will showcase its Kevo™ Home Connect™ Bridge at ESX, June 24-26, 2015, in Baltimore. This all-new bridge device accessory seamlessly integrates the leading Bluetooth™-enabled Kevo smart lock with home automation and security systems.
The Kevo Home Connect Bridge translates a ZigBee™ or Z-Wave™ radio communication to Bluetooth low energy (BLE). With this new Bridge device, the Kevo lock can be integrated into a range of smart home scenarios such as lighting scenes, thermostat settings, security camera settings, and more. What's more, the functionality of the Kevo smart lock and mobile app has been expanded to include remote locking and unlocking.
Kwikset Kevo is a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock that turns a smartphone into an electronic key (eKey). With Kevo, users can lock or unlock a door with the touch of a finger, without removing the smartphone from their pocket or purse. And now, with the Kevo Home Connect Bridge, Kevo can provide the added functionality of remote locking and integration with home automation and security systems.
The Kevo Home Connect Bridge features a compact design with an LED status indicator, pairing buttons with easy system enrollment, and a 2-prong power supply that plugs into any standard outlet.
